Question:

2 males moving in together?

i have a 1 yr old male dutch who unfortunatly i have to find a new home for. i have had a interest from a lady who also has a male bunny..lionhead 8mths. will they get along ok..my bunny has been nutuered and is the most gentle little thing, i find it hard to believe he will fight. are they guarenteed to fight or is there any success stories like this?

  1. It can work if she goes slow and is very patient.  Make sure the other male is also neutered first, at least 2 months before they are introduced.  They will need to be VERY carefully introduced.  Good techniques can be found here: http://www.rabbit.org/ in the Socialization section.  I have a pair of neutered males that gets along well, but it is very difficult to introduce a same-s*x pair.


  2. Same s*x....they will fight for power

    Differnt s*x...they will fuss a little bit, fight for territory, but "HEAT" time they will liken up..

    Remember you r rabbit is mellow because she is your baby,,,,she will get testy..want it to be only her again..HUGS!!

    Two wmales will fight for dominance..but one will gradually cede to the other one...NATURES WAY
