I like Roguey's idea of the Blacktown Bogans or the Penrith Pen ... oh no can't say that on here can I?

What I want to know is why not take the teams (if he really MUST) somewhere where there is real support for them and they won't need to be propped up (for long).  Tasmania seems to do good crowds and Canberra had to upgrade its stadium to fit the crowds in ... the Carrara Bears struggled to get 4,000 a game.  Give either place a real team that they "own" and you'll fill the grounds easily.

Gold Coast Gold - that's what they'll need to prop up a team and lots of it.

I reckon that Andy De Meanie is going to issue 2 more licences on the Gold Coast and in deepest darkest Sydney,and then tell the next two Melbourne clubs that ask for financial help that they have the choice of being the Surfers Sharks or the Wild West Wallabies. Therefore keeping the league at a manageable 16 teams while extending the interstate megalomania.

I don't like to see Melbourne clubs being forced to move but we cannot support 10 teams in Victoria at the level of competition. Most likely to move? The Tigers, the Hawks or, yes, the Kangas. All of whom have very limited territorial market and a very short list of influential national sponsors - unlike, for example, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Melbourne or the Saints.

The jury is still out on the Doggies and the Cats are euphorically stable, for now.

As a tribute to Australias' brave soldiers one side could be the 'Diggers'. The other could be something like the Kookuburras, Koalas are percieved as too cuddly,or something more threatening like Vipers, or Dingos. Being an American who has never- though he would LOVE to- visited Australia I'm just throwing out ideas.
