  1. my ap teacher says tht if its ur first ap test then colleges usually take it easy on u,,, plus the important thing is tht it still looks good tht u took an advanced class, well at least it looks better than if u just took plain us history..

u could try sending back ur score if ur positive tht u did better cuz all they do is just rescore it again

  2. you need to get at least a 3 for colleges to look at it. It depends on where you're applying. Some schools like APs but it's not necessary. You should worry about other things like you're GPA, resume, and essays. you can always take the AP test again.

  3. dont send a 2..its failing....i got a 5 on the test and almost failed the class ;)

  4. Should you worry: yes and no.  Basically, unless you get a 3 or higher, you will not get credit for having taken any college course.  That's the yes part.  On the other hand, colleges still look at that score and think: "Ok, this kid took an AP course - college level - in high school.  Oh, and look at his grades for the class, he got an A+."  Having a grade on an AP test above probably 1 says that you took a difficult course, tried, and unfortunately didn't do very well.  So the mere fact that you took an AP course will look good.  That's the no part.

  5. thats what i got! and i am in the same predicament.

i heard they made the test harder this year (just our luck i know) basically everyone in my class made a 2. and it was our first. i talked to my teacher and she said that some state colleges may even accept it. so she said not to worry. colleges also look at more than ap scores for acceptances. ap test are to see if you could skip a semester of that course in college. and to practice a collega course in high school. so you know what college classes will be like.

  6. First of all, stop worrying.  If you did your best on the test, that's all you can do.  AP tests are some of the hardest tests.  Almost all college tests are easier than an AP test. Send your AP scores to your college.  Unless you are going to an elite college, your AP score shouldn't effect your admission.  Keep working hard and taking the AP classes!
