2 questions about Pocono?

First, why did TNT not show the "gentleman, start your engines?" They (the commentators) were talking and then all of the sudden you could hear them say it. They had the camera on the crowd in the stands at the time. What is up with that? Those people had all their friends and family watching for them and I'm sure they thought they would have their names announced on TV before they said the famous pre race phrase. Second, what happened to Elliott Sadler? He did finish on the lead lap but was the last car to do so. He had a decent car and led some laps, I just didn't see what made him drop at the end of the race. Thank you in advance.

  1. That coverage was pitiful. I sure didn't see anyone saying "gentleman, start your engines?" although I heard them. How disappointing that must have been for their family and friends. It seems that they could have at least mentioned the names of those who said it. The scary part is that ESPN will probably be worse.

  2. Because their coverage isn't on par with FOX.

    Bad video production.

Pit stop strategy had him back there.

    www.nascar.com <---see results and news.

  3. tnts total coverage sucked  comercial lose  sound get sound from braves game more commercials and that was all in the first 14 laps

cant say what happen to sadler i fell asleep

  4. I'm with superdave my ears are still in shock with that National Anthem at the truck race... TNT was way out sync with a lot of stuff...Sadler had a bad pit stop.. Hopefully TNT, will calm down and get it together for the next race, they all seemed alittle rusty to me, or they were over trying big time...Makes me glad I have Sirius satellite radio & MRN, as we had all laptops on diff drivers on trackpass..

    Go Dale JR & Hms

  5. Question 1. TNT is a bunch of no-talent, uncoordinated b***s.

Question 2. Bad pit stops put him in the back.

As far as TNT goes, was it just me or did Kyle Petty start sounding like PPPPPporky PPPPig after a while. Gadzooks, that man is a babbling idiot.

  6. I know, TNT is horrible. They go to too many commercials, and just yak about nothing. Sometimes it also sounds like they argue with each other. I like FOX, I miss Fox already.

TNT has very poor coverage, I did not see the Start your engines cue either.

As for Elliot, I beleive he had a bad pit stop. He did run good though.

  7. You know what what was really eerie (in a creepy messed up way) is when the green flag dropped, and the announcers were so silent you could imagine the sound of the dirt and dust flying in the air as the cars gained speed. The stupid announcers just sat there "dead air" style until the cars were half way around the track. No excitement. No enthusiasm, No humor. It was sad. So very sad. TNT needs to figure out a new plan. They're making buffoons of themselves.

  8. I thought I did see and hear the guy say "start your engines". I could be wrong, I'm still reeling from the Craftsman truck series National Anthem. My dog is still not the same.  As far as Elliott goes, he did drop off the face of the earth as far as coverage goes there at the end. He was pretty dang good this weekend. I think TNT may have been trying to shake off the rust from the long layoff.

Edit: I forgot I was watching the Tony Stewart channel on Hotpass and that may have been why I seen it. Sorry.

  9. Well when it first came on during the pre race show the sound wasn't synchronized with the video and it was hard to watch . It wasn't as bad as last year but Fox still rules ! Elliotts problem was a bad pit stop.
