  1. a) theres no difference

    b) mountains start at 3000ft

  2. sounds like u missed that class

  3. In geometry, a rectangle is defined as a quadrilateral where all four of its angles are right angles.

From this definition, it follows that a rectangle has two pairs of parallel sides; that is, a rectangle is a parallelogram. A square is a special kind of rectangle where all four sides have equal length; that is, a square is both a rectangle and a rhombus. A rectangle that is not a square is colloquially known as an oblong.

The distinction between a hill and a mountain is unclear and largely subjective, but a hill is generally somewhat lower and less steep than a mountain. In the United Kingdom it is popularly believed that the Ordnance Survey defines a "mountain" as a peak greater than 1000 feet (305 meters) above sea level, a belief which forms the basis of the film The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain; in fact the OS maintains no such distinction today. The Oxford English Dictionary, by contrast, suggests a limit of 2000 ft (610 m). This has led to Cavanal Hill in Poteau, Oklahoma, receive billing as the "World's Tallest Hill" due to its height of 1,999 feet (609 m). Mountains in Scotland are frequently referred to as "hills" no matter what their height, as reflected in names such as the Cuillin Hills and the Torridon Hills.

  4. An oblong is just another word for rectangle.

  5. Mountains start when over 3000 feet above sea level

  6. An oblong refers to any elongated object or flat figure (3 or 2-dimensional), having a shape such as rectangular or oval. A rectangle on the other hand refers to a plane figure (2-dimensional) with 4 straight sides and 4 right angles.

Any natural elevation of the earth's surface higher than 600m or 1,968.5 ft above sea-level is considered a mountain. Anything below 600m or 1,968.5 ft above sea-level is considered a hill. So far, there is no naturally raised area of land that is exactly 600m or 1,968.5 ft above sea-level.
