  1. The more important factors are size and age.  If you re getting a new bird, sometimes it is more important to give them each their own cage until they become acquainted by talking across the room.  Then you can put them together. If you put any new bird into the home of another, you will quite often have fights, and the larger, or older bird will not allow the new bird to eat, drink or sleep quietly.  The only way this would work is if your cage is extremely large, and you have several feeding dishes and drinking spots.

  2. Hi,

    Let me ask one question.....

Are you happy with your current Parrot?

If the answer is yes. Then I would leave well enough alone. Conures can and will change bounds. What will happen. Your second Conure will bond with the first. Then they will not want anything to do with you. Female or Male, it makes no difference they will still from a bound.

If you have to get another bird then, get a different kind and do not put them in the same cage. A Meyers or a Senegal are both good birds to have.
