  1. When the chicks are 2 weeks old (eyes open, moving somewhat on their own) you can start taking them out for short periods to socialize. If you keep the visits short, and slowly increase as they get older, you shouldn't have an issue with the parents.

I would only suggest hand feeding if you have done it before and know what you're doing. It's very time consuming and even a little mistake can be a big problem for a young chick. At 3 weeks though you're pushing the limit for the birds to easily accept being hand fed. You're better off now just socializing a few times a day.

  2. handtaming is pretty easy when it comes to budige   check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/how_to_tame... for great tips on how to handtame your bird

  3. Give it about another week or two you can start handling them. By then the parent should still care for them even if your scent is on them. But be perpared, what can happen is the parents will stop taking care of them after you handle them. By this time its not likely but take safty precautions.

  4. I would say wait to handle them till thay have feathers that way there not to fradgile. The parents will still take care of the babys even if you touched them because the parents now your scent. You might even be able to hold them now they might be old enough. It will take time though to tame them.

  5. If the mother will let you, try to hand feed them. That is a sure way to gain their trust and they will let you handle them. It might take a little while but whoever brings the food is their hero! After they get used to you handling them, you should introduce them to your family and friends so they are accustomed to seeing many faces and being handled by many hands.
