Question:

2 year old birthday party ideas?

My son will be turning two in 21 days and I need to start planning his party. The biggest problem has been where to have it. There are no places in town with a play area other than a burger king which will not host a party. Having the party at our apartment is not an option because our apartment is very small and we have lots of people to invite and we can't use any relatives houses, either. What other places are there to have a birthday party for a 2 year old?

  1. Go to the park and set up a play area.  Don't sweat it.  A two year old old doesn't care anyway this is for the big people.  Provide a sand box and some water and play toys and bring a big cake for them to plow through.  If you want a party for the big kids tell them to byob, (bring your own beverage, no alcohol) and lawn chairs.  You provide salad and have them bring a dish to pass.  Sit on the chairs watch the kids and talk.  It'll be the best party you could ever have.

When he's eight and can help with the set up then is the time to make a more conventional (translation: socially acceptable) party.

  2. Have it at a park, that was where Samantha my three now year old daughter had her birthday party when she turned two.

  3. Baby pool party in the back yard? McDonald's? The park? I'd try a picnic table at the park.

  4. At a park or community center.  A lot of community centers just take a deposit and return it after the party and everything is back to normal.  Good luck.

  5. have it at a friend's house if they are willing to do it, or have it at a park.  the park sounds fun

  6. This will be easy 2 years old have a variety of places.

Chucky Cheese is always great not to expensive

If you don't want to spend a lot of money try a park. And cook out .

  7. PARK!!! You can usually find a great park anywhere, and kids love being outside, no matter the temperature. Also, a friend of mine just rented the back of a pizza place (godfathers, I think) for her baby's birthday. the room was huge, she got to decorate it anyway she wanted, the kids ran around and everyone had a great time.

Bowling alleys also often have these rooms, rent a lane with bumpers for the little ones!

Good luck! It's hard to help when we don't know what your town does have.
