  1. to early wait till the child turn 4-5 year old.

  2. I was a toddler teacher. I think its a great idea to put your 2yr old in daycare.  They learn social skills, have a larger vocabulary and I think they are smarter because they are around constant learning all day.

  3. 2 erly for a 2 year old -- don't put pressure on the child like that.

  4. At 2 years old it is considered Day Care. Preschool begins around the age of 3-4. I think around 3 years old is a good time to start 2-3 days a week and only for 1/2 days.

You can do a mommy-and-me program at your local library for Preschool...those are great programs for 2 year olds.

  5. I do homeschool my two-year old child.  But I don't force her to do activities when she doesn't want to.  I have designed a toddler class curriculum for her --- but like I said, I respect her phase and her change of mood.  And this is something you cannot do when a child is in a formal classroom setting.

As a teacher, my opinion about sending a 2 year old child to preschool is definitely too early.  I guess it's because if a child is in a formal class, things would be different...  It's probably going to be too strenuous especially if everything would be strictly timed and structured and the kid had to deal with the separation from his/her parent and at the same time adjusting with the teacher and classmates.

But that's just my personal opinion.  In the end, you know your child better than anybody else.  Do what is best for your child.

  6. If the child is gifted and bored with what the child is doing now,  I don't see it being a big problem to give it a try.  But on the other hand, if a child is gifted beyond his years in learning skills but can't handle the social skills.... you could be in for a rude awakening!!

  7. I THINK ITS A LITLE TOO EARLY IT WOULD BE BETTER TO PUT HIM OR HER IN A DAY CARE SO IT CAN GET USED TO INTERACTING WITH OTHER KIDS

  8. It's never to early to learn

  9. a bit to young no??? wait another 6 months it will change the maturity of the child....

if you need to work or so why not try a creche....

  10. Most preschools start at 3, but some have 2 year old programs. The sessions should be short, the groups should be small, and parents should be permitted to stay until the child is comfortable. Some of the best programs for 2's are some form of Mommy and Me.
