  1. My son is one and has ALWAYS been this way too. I move him and he cries and goes right back. I had to just find something to sit the tv on higher so hes not as close and the same with the lab top.

  2. That is so similar to my daughter that I am laughing! She is probably just entertained by the screen and colors and she can see some objects in a different more imaginative way than you. There are so many pop ups and adverts that I wouldnt be surprised if she did see a doggy or a ball. Haha. Well, no need to be concerned your daughter is just exploring things around her. Its common in that age.

  3. I would ask your pediatrician first.  Remember a child doesn’t know enough to explain what is wrong.  They only react and you made that clear.  Good Luck.

  4. Kids do that, yes, but why not take her to the eye doctor to make sure before you make any real judgment.  Our daughter was having eye problems before school age but we didn't recognize the symptoms.  When she got into first grade she had to have glasses. She was so close to the books she was reading that we often told her to not "eat the page".  She is legally blind without her glasses.  Don't be sorry, be safe and take her for an exam.

  5. They all do that. Just keep telling them her not to stand so close and eventually she will stop.

  6. Most kids do that actually even if they don't need glasses that's why parents use to tell their kids "you will hurt your eyes sitting so close to the TV" because so many kids do it.  My boys do it a lot too but my oldest son is the only one that may need glasses soon but the eye Dr said he doesn't even need them right now.  If you are worried though you can always make an appt with a pediatric eye dr or have her pediatrician take a look.

  7. I was going to post this same question. So, thanks for saving me the points. My 2 year old son stands three inches from the tv. He just stares at it. When I tell him to sit on the couch or the floor, he refuses. Also, when I'm at the computer, he wants to sit on the desk and rub the screen.
