Question:

2 year old with bug bits lasting more then 3 days?

its been 3 days now from when she get bit up by bug bits. i have been putting a lot of hydrocortisone on her but it still bothers her in like 2 senconds and asked for more. and i tried putting that kids after bite on her but its not helping. going to make a dr apt 2morrow. and it only bothers her like between 1am-5am. is there anything i can do i don;t think bug bits last this long. what am i doing wrong HELP PLEASE!! she is 2 years old oh and she has had a runny nose for about a week now and pulling at her ears. but everytime she does pull at her ears i bring her in and never has ear infections. what could be wrong with her?

  1. It may be some sort of a rash, I would get it checked out.  My son breaks out with funny rashes sometimes and they bother him when he sleeps because of the heat. Heat makes them worse. If it is a bug bite, I would try neosporin over the hydrocortozone cream and cover it with a bandaide so it will stay on. It could also be chiggers. Them things itch like crazy and last forever!  A dab of clear nail polish over the top takes the itch away and helps them heal faster.

  4. i know im like 14 but i got bugg bites ALOTT

    and they mostly lasted a long time when they were spider bites

    considering your child is younger and the skin is more sensitive

    it could just have lasted a while longer

    i would wait a few days and see what happens

    and then take em to the doctor!! =]

  5. my kids bites last up to a week. I put lavender on. Why it is that time of night is because she has warmed up and it is making her itchy. Talk to the doc about an antihystermine for her at night
