I had a root canal and had a gold filling put in, this was around 2 years ago. My tooth is now going blackish colour and my gum above the tooth is swollen up and is sore to touch when I push it. Any ideas as to what could be wrong, I really dont want the tooth to be removed.

  1. Hope this Helps

  2. Your tooth is black because it has died, mine is the exact same.  Your gums could be inflammed because bacteria is hard to remove from that area esp with gold filling.

See your dentist it sounds like a gum problem rather than a the tooth.  Brush twice a day, floss, and use good mouth wash blah blah blah.

  3. you should go to dentist and do x-ray to make sure what the cause its may be from wrong root canal ttt
