20/20 is not cricket!!50 over game should not go!!?

bcos 50 over is the right balance is not short nor too long, and it has good quality and tactics both for batsman and bowler, i think 20/20 will go it has no charm , it willloose very soon!!

50 over tournement should be palyed not so often lie these days but one in a year in weekend or holidays !!!

I feel T20 is a shorter version of cricket. Yes it is true that 50 over game should not go. But one must also remember that the T20 game has allowed many youngsters to show their talents. Thus I would call T20 as a talent hunt which indirectly selects better players for the 50 overs game.

i dont think that 20-20 cricket will go.....but you are correct saying that 20-20 is not cricket.

i think 20-20 is just Entertainment.

but 20-20 also have its positive aspects. it may improve the decision making of the captain because he has to take correct decisions because 2020 doesnt give much time to correct wrong decisions........running between the wicket improves.....bowling skills...etc.

At the end of the day, test matches are the real form of proper cricket.  20/20 is exciting to watch and it will have its own following from those who are looking for good slogging in a short period of time.  In a world where everything is becoming fast-paced, 20/20 caters for those who would still like see cricket but a shorter version! It will be interesting to see where it goes since the monetary incentives are very high for the players and sponsors.

Yeah, agree with you. T20s are just for providing entertainment, and I feel that it harms the quality of the game. T20 games are just business in the name of cricket, which are organized with the sole objective of securing financial benefits. In the long run, T20 may reduce cricket from a game of technique, skill, and strategy to a game of 6s and 4s, where slogging is everything. T20 is not cricket indeed-it's the grave of real cricket. That's why I prefer tests, because it's through tests that a cricketer attains maturity. But ODIs too provide entertainment, without depleting the standard of the game so much, and that's why ODIs should continue, and 50 over games should be encouraged instead of T20s.

both have there values...its true tat after 20/20..many (not everybody) are not interested in 50 over matches...this is mainly bcoz of the lack of gap between both the formats...one got over and the other started...both will have there value and nothing will be erased..its just the kind of hype created which will make the viewers sit back for the matches...

20/20 is like a revolution! The whole world has changed alot and has become fast paced....I really appreciate 20/20 cricket....It gives cricket a new turn....you can watch a whole match without going away or getting bored in the middle..sadly it is being ignored by great players right now but I'm sure that in the coming years it will be more popular and widely liked...it certainly will be an eye opener for those who do not know cricket, but in the long run they will come to realize that the game has much more to it.hope this helps.
