Question:

20/40 vision? How "bad" is this?

I have 20/20 vision in my right eye (unaided...I don't wear glasses), but 20/40 in my left. How "bad" is that? For instance, would I be required to wear a contact for driving if the DMV found out, and would I need that contact if I wanted to be an airline pilot, etc?

Just curious....

I don't want to wear that contact unless I "have" to, or my vision gets noticeably worse. Right now I seem to do OK with my right eye compensating.

Thanks!

  1. NOT BAD AT ALL . WHAT YOU THINK.

  2. What that means is that you can read letters on an eye chart at 20 feet away from it what most people can read at 40 feet away.  That's not terrible there's 20/200.
