With many top clubs in the market for a world class left-back, Jose Enrique would fit the bill for many top European sides. Gifted with pace, strength and exquisite technical skill, Enrique is the kind of player who would prefer to pave his way out of trouble
rather than heave the ball towards the half way line.
A problem with the newly promoted clubs is that they are robbed of their star players when they start to go past their expected first seasons in the top league. Such is the case with Jose Enrique who like Charlie Adam, Steve Mulumbu and Odemwingie has attracted

Newcastle will try their best to keep the left-back at St. James’s Park with an improved pay rate but there is no reason he will want to stay in a mid-table team fighting relegation rather than play for a club competing for top honours and chance to feature
in the lucrative Champions League.
