20$ for digital camcorder that needs repairs or buy new which way would be cheaper?

if i could get a mini dv digital camcorder for 20$ but it does not register that mini dv is in sometimes would it cost more to fix or just get new one

It depends on the worth of the camcorder. Is it newer and worth a lot, or older and worth little? If it's newer, it will likely cost less to fix it than it would to buy a new one.

Just get a new one unless you know someone who can fix it cheap or free.

Wow $20 is pretty cheap, how much is that same one new? I would recommend checking out if it can be repaired, it probably needs a new disk slot (which aren't expensive). I would definitely go with the $20 one.
