  1. While in DEP, you arent officially enlisted so you cant be officially separated.

You cant join with any pending criminal offenses or future court cases. You will have to do court ordered risk management classes/ AA classes.  This might take 6-10 months .After that you might be put on probation for 1 or 2 years.

    I suggest telling your recruiter.

Dressing in a suit taking care of your legal obligations with mom and dad. Judges like mom and dad.

Once youve taken care of the court stuff you might get probation dropped if you join the military. This will only work if a recruiter has your back.

Try to maintain a relationship with the recruitment office throughout the process, thats KEY!

  2. Well, I can't speak for the Air Force, if you were in Coast Guard DEP, then Yes.  Since AF standards are nearly as high as CG, if I had to guess, I'd say yes.

Instead of asking for guesses from people that don't know the answer, call your recruiter.  He/She is the one who will know.

  3. they could kick you out but it just depends. the only thing it could mess up is your job choices and security clearance

so if you was going in as a security forces or other high priority jobs that require clean records then yea its bad

but i wouldnt worrry its nothing a waiver wont fix

as for suggestions i would say tell your recruiter (if you havent already) and tell him/her what happened and see if you need a waiver or need to sign a new contract and deff dont try to hide it and stay out of trouble and dont pull your sisters hair lol

  4. Sorry, NO. If that were the case, half our military would be AWOL.

  5. I hate to break it to you, but you should look for a new job.  If you were already on active duty status it would be 50/50.  But, since you are DEP, they will cancel your enlistment, probably with an ELS (entry level separation).

  6. depends on your job in the air force.. and their current policy.. and manning shortages.

when i was in the navy a dwi was generally a loss of all security clearances and a probable discharge.. that behavior was not tolerated.

    i'd ask your recruiter.
