  1. great reiteration of a question posed about 24 hours ago.

  2. Not  a bigger Hockey trade.

But if you go sports I think the Babe Ruth trade from the Red Sox to the Yankees for cash is the biggest one.

  3. yeah the lindros trade

    haha look that one up

  4. Yes, the bigger trade was Gretzky from Indianapolis to Edmonton.. without that trade there is no trade to LA! He put EDM on the map, without acquiring him from Indianapolis that never happens.

Case in point.. what if Skalbania had gotten a better offer from Quebec, Winnipeg or Hartford? (the teams that joined the NHL from the WHA) History would have been forever changed.

  5. I think that was the biggest hands down.

Like MTL said Saint Patrick was probably a distant second.

And the Lindros mess was 3rd in my book anyhow!!!

  6. Patrick Roy from the Canadiens to the Avalanche, if you know anything about Quebec then you would know he would have NEVER been dealt to the Nordiques.

Gretzky being traded to the Kings was major and did wonders for hockey in the States particularly in areas which previously had little exposure to the game. But what kind of cultural impact did it have?

  7. The only one close to Gretzky, is Roy from Montreal to Colorado, except L.A. never won a cup, and Colorado won with Roy
