2000 Dodge Neon door speakers/putting new in?

i understand that taking off the door panel with manuel locks are a *****, so can I simply CUT AROUND THE STOCK SPEAKER, TAKE IT OUT AND CONNECT THE WIRES AND REPLACE THEM? im pretty sure this would work...

yes but you would cause more work for yourself in the long run

you would need a larger speaker because you would have made the mounting hole larger by cutting out the old speaker

you would also need speakers that come with grills large enough to cover the "damage" you have done

take the time to remove the door panel, it would take 15min. at most and it would keep the stock look (stock speaker grills could still be used)
