2000 Eclipse new battery problem

I just got a new battery and I had the same problem 4 years ago on the last new battery too. Well they said it will reset while driving, but every time I let my foot off the gas the car turns off. I called the Mitsubishi dealership and they said they never heard of driving it for 15 miles to reset, they said they have to clean the throttle body and that will reset it. Does any of this sound familiar?? They are going to charge $80!!

Thank you for your help!!
