I'm looking at a 2000 Grand Caravan with a 3.3L V6 FI SOHC 6cyl Flex Fuel engine. Has anyone had one of these? I have had good luck with the 3.3L engine in the past, but I never knew they even put a flex fuel in the Caravan. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

  1. I think that 2000 is too old unless the strut towers are in perfect shape, not rusted, or have been rebuilt with reinforcement caps.

Rocker panels also rust, as does inside the tailgate.

Lines underneath and fuel tank straps rust.

    3.3 is an excellent engine.

  2. the 3.3 is a good engine in those and they do give good service, the flex fuel was offered as an option if you wanted it,not many were built,it was available to you as an option if you wanted it,just not many people was ready to accept this idea, and the gas mileage was horrible on them when you was running e-85 in them, they did better on running regular gas in them, there's not many of those around though and parts for those are different than that of a regular van,so you might want to think about this when you buy it ,the injectors cost a lot more, even a fuel pump is more for one of those, these are usually the vehicles people stay away from when they find out that they are flex fuel vehicles, good luck.
