  1. How Much Does It Rise?  A Little?  No worries Probably. Stop The Engine, Wait And Restart And Then The Gauge Reads Higher?  It's Called Heat Soak. It's Normal.

As Long As There Is No Steam Or Coolant Smell You're Good.

Other Wise, As You Might Have Guessed, Somethings Wrong.

Radiator, Fluid Levels, Leaks, Hoses (That Collapse) Coolant Sensors And Fans Are All Possibilities.

If This Is Happening While You're Stopped At A Light, Since It's Summer, This May Reasonable. Idling Doesn't Produce As Much Cooling As

    When Running.

  2. Check the coolant level. Might be low.

  3. check your coolant after the car cools down dont open it hot. see if it is low. look on the ground for coolant. and if you cant figure out y its getting hot take it to a shop or check craigslist for a mobile mechanic because you sure wont be able to do the work youself without messing your car up.
