2000 Johnson 9.9 hp?

Question

I get a milkey looking substance coming out of the exhaust after it has set for a few hours after running for a day on the lake. Could it be I have been putting too much oil in the gas? It is a 2 cycle, but runs really smooth on the lake. I try to mix the fuel oil mixture about 40-1.

Went the wrong way> run it at 100 to 1 that's what I have used for yrs less smoke an mess in the water>I have 2000  15hp>
