My battery was dead, I am on a road trip stuck on labor day in some small city, 1400 miles from home. It was 5 in the morning when I decided to purchase a battery after I attempted to jump start using someone car, it would still not start. I installed battery in dark backwards, the battery sparked and I smelled a burning smell. I noticed what I did, I changed a few blown fuses, there were like 3-4 regular size fuses that were blown. NOw anyway, i installed the battery the correct way, vehical started surprisingly, however brake light on ABS light on battery light.our all on. It does drive however there is a loud beeping noise only when I pursue to move foward< it's weird. I either think my aternator is blown or fuses or relays or something. I need any kind of help I can get. Thank you

Auto zone tested my alternator and told me that the battery is working at the right amps< and not really loosing any amps either however the machine said to check wiring from alternator to battery I guess. He said it could be the alternator or several other possibilities.
