2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS..??

Question

My car's an automatic with a 2.4l. First, i wanna know if i can drop in a manual, n how much money n labor would be involved. Also, can i put a turbo on it? it's a stock engine so how much boost would i have to run without tearing it up? and 3rd, im looking for a good catback exhaust..any suggestions? i want it to be semi-loud and sound like a real rice burner...any help would be nice..thanks

1. Yes, you can drop a manual in your eclipse, just go search your local junkyard for the tranny and get the clutch kit for online store. About the price, material+ labor is around $2000.

2. About the turbo, there are a lot of application out there for 2G eclipse, be sure you do research before you start any project. It's depend on your motor condition, i can't tell by just simply knowing it's a 2G eclipse, but there is a thing i can tell, mitsubishi's car build tough, they got a lot potential.

3. for the catback, go to youtube and search the clips which those eclipse with aftermarket muffler and see how you like it.

You would need to put the manual transmission in, which can get expensive enough alone, buy a clutch kit, set up the clutch, mount the clutch pedal inside the car, remove the automatic shifter k**b and put in the stick, add an rpm guage. All in all, you'd be better of just buying a manual eclipse. Yes the turbo would fit, but you also need the parts necessary, (guages, blow off valve, turbo timer)  To add a nitrous system you would either need to get a wet system ( which sprays the nitrous directly into cylinders with the gasoline and air) or get a dry nitrous system ( sprays the nitrous into the manifold, or air intake) and I wouldn't suggest running any of that unless you're confident in doing it. A good cat back would be greddy, flowmaster, or any other performance exhaust used in any race circuit.
