  1. The answer that said they came with different engines has no idea what he is talking about.  Only 1 engine.  What is 200 HP going to do.  HP only will give you a higher top end in which you would have to take off governor. To make it go faster you need more torque.  Without major expense you can get 25 lbs of torque which in this car is a big difference.  First change ALL fluids to synthetic(150) and you will get 10-15 torque gain from  less friction.  Second cold air intake(159) and free flow converter(99) with borla muffler.(79) So for almost 500.00 you can get at least 25 lbs of torque or more and 20-30 HP. Any more nd you will need to change suspension, brakes, cross members to make safe and be able for car to handle increase. As far as sound system you have 2 choices: replace radio and speakers due to speakers having own amps or get new head unit and buy adapter and install kit which will shut off amps on speakers which are good JBL;s..

  2. Sorry, only one engine in this model.  I would not try and hop it up either.

Engine is a low performance and does not support Turbos unless you want to snap the Crank pulley off the engine.  You can add a Cold Air intake and a muffler.  Be careful hot-rodding around, you can break the catalyst in the exhaust ($$$).  And always watch oil level.  KIcking the back-end around (engine) on a low oil level (only holds 3.5 qt.), can cause oil starvation and crank bearing damage.

Audio systems are easily upgraded at local audio shops.

    Good Luck

  3. Those came with several different engine options. Some of them had as low as 130hp, some had around 225 hp. depending on the package they came with. Personally if it came with the 130 hp, you might as well forget it. Without adding turbo to it you will never come close to 200hp.

Do you know which engine and how much hp you presently have? If yours has one of the smaller engines i would try to find the version with the more powerful engine in a salvage yard and do a engine swap.

As far as a sound system goes, you can pick up all sorts of stereo equipment off of ebay dirt cheap. It makes a lot more sense than going to your local car audio place and getting ripped off.

  4. try K& N air intake  and  oil fiter and a Turbonater  91 or higher octane gas and use full synthetic oil  all the time and  throw in some new  Bosch spark plugs unless you have iridiun plugs and  under 100,000 miles on the odometer

K&N drop in filter if  the whole intake system is too much money  i  have a Turbonater in my tacoma and a k&n drop in filter and there is a big improvement in horsepower  and i

    use valvoline syn power oil

my torque has improved  if any body is wondering  also i have saved 70%  gas milage 10% improve when flooring it hard

http://www.turbonator.com/Savings.html(w... here on  typed in  130 present horse power  at 10%  horsepower   increase which is garanteed gives  you 143 hp alone  not bad  for forty bucks

also both these companys won't void any warrantys you might have
