  1. Why not just try a 6.8L v10 swap?  That has been done and it uses many of the same parts as it is in the same family as the 4.6 and 5.4L.

You'll need a T56 6-speed trans for that engine, but at least it will be emissions legal!

  2. Better see if it will even fit. Not a lot of room in there.

  3. the engine won't even fit between the strut towers.  It can be done, with alot of work.  the t45 wont handle the power of a 429 for too long, if you can even find a bellhousing to mate the two.

  4. No. But that's not to say it isn't do-able with the right amount of perseverance, and it will not be cheap, I'd think. Also you may need to "Massage" some sheet metal to clear the fat block.

  5. T-45 won't handle the torque.  This is going to be a fabrication nightmare. Even through some minor miracle you get to fit.  The car will be almost uninsurable and definitely nowhere close to street legal. You'll easily spend tens of thousands of dollars doing this. You'll end up with a cool car no doubt. But this would be much easier with a Fox-bodied car and even then it's not easy.

  6. Would be just as cheap to buy a stroker small block like a 454Windsor and install that into the car.  Would have just as more horsepower and torque and still be lighter than the 429...

Wipple Blower would be cheaper than what you are wanting to do as well...

  7. Yea you need a special bell housing it wont bolt up. Im not sure who has a bell housing but you can check ebay
