I'm buying my first bike, but don't want to spend that much on my first. Is this a good deal? he says the tires are new but needs a new carb. How much would this cost me? It doesn't list the mileage so how much mileage would be "Wow this bike is about to die?"

  1. Not yet There are more250s out there if that is what you want.  Anything used is going to have some problems.  Have a buddy with a motorcycle license drive it or tow it to a shop that will check it out for you  It might cost 50 bucks or they might check it out for free My buddy is ASE certified so I have him check it out before I buy anything.  It might be more than the carb could go on and be more expansive than it is worth depends on how they drove and if it was well maintained.  Make sure it is what it is, and not a ripoff before you pay for it

  2. buy it

  3. Pass.  ninja 250s are a dime a dozen.  For $1200 you should be able to find one that runs fine.
