Question:

2000 Nissan engine cranks. Car won't start!

My gas tank was almost empty...and i went out of town for five days...i came back and the engine cranks, but the car won't START! what should i do? i added more gas...[half of a quarter is filled up] and it still wont start...

please help me!

  1. Maybe your spark plugs are burnt.


  2. Is there a fuel "reset" button on it??.... some cars when they run out of gas have a reset button that kicks off to keep your fuel pump from burning up... and you have to reset it... I think it's in the trunk up by the rear speakers in your car.  

    Yeah, girls know stuff too sometimes.... try it - it just might work, or look in your owner's manual and see if it tells you where this button is.

  3. It could be multi things could be spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter could be air in the lines etc. etc. With out really seeing what the car is doing it will be hard to diagnose. You can place a clip on youtube for people to help you out and diagnose the problem
