2000 Volvo Penta - 18' FourWinn I/O?

What is the best type of oil for this engine? The manual recommends 15w50, but I am looking at Amsoil 10w40. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.

I think you should go with the weight and API Service class the manual says to use. Any brand as long as it meets those requirements. The manual might have different weight suggestions based on average temperature in different areas. Change your engine oil and filter every 50 hours or once a season, whatever comes first
