Missing especially in AM - Air filter looks ok - wondering about fuel filter and plugs or wires - anyone know a way to narrow the search barring a diagnosis fee at the dealership - wondering which is bank one? Is that front or back side of engine?

  1. fuel trim depending on its reading can be pointing to a vacuum leak on bank one. bank one is your lead bank. you can have a slight intake manifold leak on bank one. take some carb clean and gently spray around bank one, including the intake, if the idle suddenly jumps...you have a vac leak. if not you must follow flow of diagnostics to find the issue, which includes checking and measuring many different things.

stay away from autozone...they will read it and clear it and you will lose all the data that caused the problem to begin with, which can make it more difficult for a tech that knows what hes doing. and most common cause of fuel trim issues is a simple vac. leak.

and some of these guys dont make a living fixing cars...they run their own shade tree garage and run to autozone when they s***w something up. like two retards playing tug-a-war. good luck.

  2. sure fuel filter and a bottle of fuel treatment would be the first thing to try.. and autozone will scan free... and any dealer is the last place to go ...they have the least knowledge of  trouble shooting  any other place would be better and cheaper

  3. put new wires plugs and fuel and air filters in it and go to autozone and have the light cleared get the best wires and plugs you can afford un-burned fuel or too much oxygen caused by vacuume leaks are#1 causes for these codes.keep in mind that these had major problems with the plastic plenum causing vacuume leaks.
