I just recently took the factory cd player out of the 01 Grand am and replaced it withan Pioneer aftermarket cd player... I had to buy the GM aftermarket wiring harness, I wired it all myself. What happens is that after driving about 30 mins the cd player will turn off like the power supply was cut off....the only way to get it back on is to turn the car off and start it back up but shortly after it will happen again and again.....I double checked my wiring after this problem occured thinking i might have hooked something up wrong??? Is there something that i don't know about these cars with aftermarket cd players or the wiring harness??? any help PLEASE! thanks~!

  1. maybe there is a short in one of your power wires or you don't have a good ground (shorting), if those aren't the causes see if the back of the radio is getting hot (it may be protecting itself from over heating)
