Question:

2001 Hyundai Tiburon...doesn't start sometimes?

Ok. I have a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon with about 98k miles. Lately, on occasion, it won't start. Most of the time it starts fine, but once in a while, the starter just turns and nothing happens. Sometimes, during these no-starters, giving it some gas gets it to start...but other times, no such luck. When this happens, I can usually wait 5-10 minutes or so and it'll start fine.

It seems like there's a correlation between hot/humid days and the starting problems. I don't know if there's any real between the two though...could be just in my head. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be the problem? Thanks.

  1. It could be anything from the coil, the wires or even one of your sensors, it would be alot better if you could have the vehicles computer scanned so that you can get a reading from all of the sensors, just replacing parts will cost too much..

  2. my answer is try to check it out first on auto repair shop...,
