I am getting a 2001 Lexus IS300 tomorrow. It has 89,000 miles. Is there anything I should worried about? All the ratings I have read have been good.

  1. i have this car.  I love it!

  2. Nothing really except its Rear Wheel Drive.  If your scared of wiping out, the tail or rear end will drift a bit in the rain and a lot in the winter.  But nothing to bad if you can handle steering it.

  3. the price of parts? call around and, let's just say, ask how much a starter costs...or an alternator for the car...do you think you'll be able to afford these items later? and can they be installed easily? or will you have to take it to a shop? and how much will they charge you? these considerations should be known....i remember when the big thing was to buy a used porsche...usually the new owner was way in over his head when it came to servicing the car.

  4. BEFORE YOU BUY MAKE SURE THE 90K MILE SERVICE HAS BEEN DONE OR WILL BE DONE BY THE SELLER. ITS AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE. Timing belt replacement/ water pump replacement. seals and so on and so on. Ive seen places charge up to $1800.
