  1. Does it not idle at all or only sometimes? My 2001 Dodge Stratus would stop idling whenever I went to stop or slow down, this problem happens whenever my battery gets disconnected. What fixes it for me is buying a bottle of gumout and filling my tank then drive it for awhile  


  2. you didn't give much info, such as engine size, ect. I'd look at the idle air control motor, thats it's primary function. this is assuming there is no other drivability problems.

  3. you need to have the computer scanned on it and see if it will give any trouble codes ,it may give a code for a sensor that may be causing it not to idle right,without having the scan done though you wont know for sure whats causing it,auto zone or advance either one will scan it for free,then you,ll know what may be causing this too happen,and it will save you from buying a bunch of parts you may not need for it,good luck.
