i have a 2001 gsxr 600 that i just swapped the motor out and it runs fine(actually runs great) but my idle is too low and i have to keepm the choke slightly on and i noticed a very very small leak of oil looks like it is dripping off of the oil plug so i changed the plug out with the one from the old motor and still has small leak and still looks like coming from the oil plug how can i adjust the idle(fuel injected) and stop the leak

  1. try a thin rubber washer on the oil plug and you may need to adjust the carburater for the poor idle.

  2. adjusting the idle:

    1) try running fuel injection cleaner through it.

2)try adjusting or replacing the throttle position censor.

    oil leak:

more than likely, you lost your plug seal. make sure your seal is still in place.

  3. To adjust the idle all you have to do is lift the tank and under the air box there is a brass adjuster just turn it up a little around 1100-1200rpm. DO NOT put injector cleaner in it, That stuff is made for cars it is to be mixed in a 10gallon tank not a two. It will cause your bike to run evry lean and cause more problems in your ne motor. As for the oil leak is needs an o-ring on the plug
