2001 nissan maxima, good condition, how long till it dies?

my dad is giving me his 2001 nissan maxima as a birthday present. it's in excellent condition, never been in a serious accident only fender benders, brand new stereo with ipod attachment and lots of other perks that make the car so tempting to drive. he says either i get his car or he buys me a different used one, of course i want the car but there is a slight issue.

the car has 130,000 miles on it, now i heard that the maxima's last a while but is the car worth it? will i still have a reliable no problem car or should i get a different car?

My 2001 Maxima has 186,000 miles on it and I doesn't look like it will die anytime soon.  I have probably spent $1500 dollars on it this year in repairs (ie the power steering hose cracked, leaked and I had to by a new power steering bomb), but I usually spend around $1000/year on brakes, tires, etc.  All in all, it's a soldier!
