Agreed that it would depend on the price and equipment level.

Though I loathe Pontiac interiors as a rule, (big, chubby plastic buttons) that Bonneville is a good-looking car, and you can't beat that 3800 GM V6. I love that engine in its many forms - very smooth and powerful, superbly reliable and its fuel economy is always a pleasant surprise.

I have heard that the supercharged versions can be trouble, though - if it's one of those models, listen for any peculiar rattling, tinking or whining sounds when you start it and take it for a test drive - these could indicate supercharger problems to come. Of course you should always have the car checked out by a trusted mechanic, especially one who is familiar with GM cars (ie. almost any long-standing, privately owned garage).
