2001 suzuki gsxr motor removal level of difficulty?????

i have an 01 gsxr 600 and i have spun a bearing in it / what would you say the level of difficulty would be on this from 1-10 to tear the motor out and open the motor up and replace the bearings (and probably the crankshaft) i have replaced many car motors i would say mor than 10. but never really messed with a motorcycle motor but if i get the repair manual what would you say are my chances...

  2. Can you tare down a car engine to a box of parts and install a new crankshaft?

    With a repair manual, a few special tools (your engine specific), torque wrench (and the knowledge to use it), it will be on the difficulty level of a car engine rebuild.

    There are obvious differences, but the manual will guide you through them.

    When you get the manual, read through the different sections and determine whether you want to attempt it.

    Engine removal, clutch removal, cylinder head & cam timing, changing the crankshaft and bearing selection process, assemble the crankcase while adjusting the transmission.

  3. maybe OK... but when you split the crankcase you need to remember all the gearbox parts can fall out as well......
