when the car is cold in the morning it only does this one time. Starts then dies. then I start it up again and it is fine. Thought it was the IAC, not, thought is was the EGR, not, mechanic has had the car in and out for 2 months. can't find the issue cause it only happens one time. Any thoughts?

  1. How about a coolant temperature sensor. If this is bad, that might initially cause the injectors to not dump enough fuel for the engine to stay running. You should also consider checking the Cam/Crankshaft position sensor. It either is not working correctly, this could cause timing issues.
