  1. the best oil is motorex and motul.

you can use any ratio from 25:1 to 60:1

    40:1 is good

  2. The best ratio is 40:1

Put 40mls to 1 litre of petrol (convert this i aint american)

    >>it doesnt need to be spot on<<

The best oil is just any 2 stroke oil, doenst need to be special even car oil will do

If it goes in a brushcutter, mower, chainsaw etc it will definately go in a bike

Dont forget its just for lubrication

    cheers

  3. 40 to 1 mate, and dont listen to anyone that says oil isnt just oil because they should obviously be slapped.  And where the h**l did the idea of using motor oil  as 2 stroke mix come from? It pretty much all comes down to you get what you pay for. The oil you put in your fuel is the only lubrication that the top end gets so it isnt something you want to forget about because after the top and bottom end rebuild from seizing you might start thinking about buying the good oil.

  4. 4 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas=   32:1

  5. All j*p manufacturers recommend 32:1 in their new machines.

Why don't you use the oil that Yamaha recommends?

I've always used Golden Spectro in all of my 2 stroke bikes without a problem - no carbon build up, doesn't foul spark plugs, low smoke from the exhaust, smells good.
