Just wondering about the largest tire I can put on this car? It comes standard with 16" wheels.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of larger tires?

Thanks.

  1. just look at your door stick to see what stock is the add 10 or 20 millimeters to the tire width. The advantages are you will get better grip from the larger contact patch and better cornering grip. The disadvantages are that your speedo will be off like 2-3 mph and when it snow its harder to get through it since there is more tire trying to be pushed through it

  2. I've seen 22's on a camaro before.  The disadvantage is less braking performance, less gas mileage, and a rougher ride.

  3. I am not sure what your asking. wheels or tires?

  4. Just to let you know, there is no such thing as a ss camaro with a v-6.  if it is a  SS, you will have LS-1.  As far as going to a bigger tire, you will not get any gain, it will throw your speedo off but that is about it.  If you go wider, it will give you increased traction but I doubt you need that if it is a v-6.
