I had it towed to his shop and he said it was eighther the fuel pump or the fuel filter. So he replaced them both. He called and said it was ready to pick up. I went there and we took a test drive and it began to make loude noises and running real rough. He mentioned a fuel reset button and informed told me that he does not know where the fuel reset is located. I left it their at his shop, because I felt that I would not make it home. Is there a web site that I can deduce the problem? Or someone to tell me what switches are located and where? Thanks for your help in advanced!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Passenger side kick panel, pop it off and look for a red button.

  2. The fuel reset button only stops battery power from getting to the fuel pump so if the truck starts then it's not the reset button.

Why did it need a fuel pump?

The new fuel pump might not have enough fuel pressure or it could be something totally unrelated like a bad coil.
