Alrighty people, hows it going, I'm doing okay, u know a little under the weather right now but not too bad, I hope every ones good. Anyways, I am looking at a 2002 190 Horizon bowrider Four Winns, it has about 100 hours on it and has 220hp! It also come with a trailer. I can get it for bout' 13grand! I am into watersports and cruising around and live on a medium sized lake. Is this a good boat boat for my needs and purposes?? Is four winns a good company?? Please tell me everything you know about four winns and about this boat!!!! If you have this boat or a four winns tell me how you like it and how it does with people on board crusing around and for watersports!! How does it handle the water?? Is this a very luxurious boat (well at least compared to a bayliner)? Is this a nice boat? How long will it last? Good price? Just tell me anything and everything about four winns but mostly about this model! Tell me how you like yours if you own this model or a four winns. Thanx and LIVE LIFE!

  1. Four Winns is one of the older boat manufacturing companies still kickin' out hulls. Started back in the day by four members of the Winn family (thus the name) it was owned through the 90's by OMC and then sold to Genmar Marine around the time you're 190 Horizon was built. The company is now owned by Brunswick corp (Mercury).

Four Winns has always been a good boat. They aren't the top of the line but they are probably pretty firmly in top 1/4 of boats out there.

I've had experience with several of these units and have nothing bad to say about them. The hull handles very well in both smooth and rough weather and is very responsive. It also has a special hull design which helps the vessel plane faster and stay on plane at lower engine speeds.

Price is hard to estimate over the net. But you can check the value of the boat on nadaguides.com. This site will also give you some other interesting info on the boat.

As far as lifespan goes... I work regularly on 30+40 year old Four Winns boats. Those were made with wood which can rot where your hull is basically wood free so it should last that long or longer if it's taken care of.

Hope this helps some. Have fun!

  2. Seems ok for your application. I would take Four Winds over Bayliner any day of the week. I had a 24' Glasstron bow rider I loved it.
