2002 GMC Envoy SLE won't start?

2002 gmc envoy, having same problem as above.  Took it to Las Vegas to a friend, after having it at the dealers for 5 days could not find a problem.  after Steve checked every thing we were discussing what could be the problem?  We finnally came to the conculson that it very might be the starter. Reason if the starter has an area with a defect and the starter just happens to stop on the defect area it will not start.  You put a heavey duty 2000 amp jumper start and it will fire up, run like normal until the starter intermintinly stops on that area and it is dead again.  I plan to locate a new starter and replace the old one and take it and have it checked to see if our thinking could be right.

2002gmc envoy will not start intermintinly everything else works .if i turn the key several times sooner or later it will turn over and start battery was replaced
