2002 Nissan ECU problems what should I do

So here goes the story the other day I was driving and the car just shut dwon the brakes wouldn't work I couldn't steer nothing. So I was able to puch the car off the road and it started right up again. Went home and saw that there was a recall and everything matched on what happen with my car. Took it to the mechanic and she said that there is a recall but it is to reboot the computer and that she can't do anything because the ECU isn't working it's not sending any signals and the car can just quit working at any time. She said to repair the car it's going to cost more than 3,000 dollers and it's not worth it because the car has 118,000 miles. And on top of that I bought the car 2 years ago for $10,000 and I just found out today that I still owe 9,780. My intrest rate was really REALLY high. So what should I do trade it in and pay a high payment, let it go, or fix it and hope for the best? Thanks.

  1. You have to fix it, but make sure to get it done at a Nissan Dealer with a warranty.  Do not get it fixed at a little shop, make sure to go to a dealer.

Unless, you have $9,780.00 to pay off that car plus whatever you want to put down on a new car.

If it was me and the ECU is the only thing wrong I would fix it for sure.

Also, do not make minimum payments or you will just be paying interest for the rest of your life!
