My stereo was working fine, then i parked it for 15 mins. restarted my car and there was no sound. Radio, cd and tape all seems to work but i dont hear any type of sound. Its an 2002 Subaru Forester base edition. My commute to work is 55 miles up and down. I need this stereo working. Any help would be great. Thanks a TON in advance.

  1. if you have an amplifier then make sure your ground cable is hooked to the amp and to the ground. i had that problem. it came unhooked from my amp and i couldn't figure it out for days.the radio would turn on but no sound at all. then i finally saw it and  rehooked it. restarted my car and SOUND!

  2. Sounds like it could be as simple as a lose connection at the back of the head unit or a stripped wire causing your speakers not to get power. If you have an upgraded system, maybe the amplifier needs a new fuse or to be reset. Check your fuse box as well. Maybe if you post more info on the radio type/options we can be of more assistance to you.
