2002 bmw 745li front speakers quit working, they r not blown?

Question

a customer brought in this 745li thinking the speakers were blown...after removing the front door speakers and then testing them they seem 2 b just fine...the center and the rear doors still play and work with the logic 7 control....but they sound really distored when u give it any volume...i also think the 7in subs r blown...any one got answers 4 me...i think he might have some type of amp problem...

most likely you have a short in the wires and its stressing the speakers which now his speakers can be blown or his head unit can have some problems. just try checking the amp ad the head unit connections if you believe the speakers arent blown but most people will are that they are blown.

or if there components most likely they are there can be bass coming through the speakers instead of mids and its clipping. i believe the speakers have some type of bass blocker and that is blown replace that first if you can if it has one but don't add on one.
