2002 buell blast?

Question

hello,

i am considering buying a brand new 2002 buell blast for $3000.it is a 450cc and is going to be my first bike.my question is,should i buy this bike because its brand new?or am i better off buying a used honda?any feed back from buell owners-past or present would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say buy the Buell, these things handle amazingly well.  Used Honda's, are all over the place, and after you buy them, well, you are now the owner of a used Honda. Buy the Buell, see if it lives up to its name! You won't see one coming down the street just like yours every day, either.

the Blast is a basically a sportster motor, with one cylinder missing. Harley uses them for their riders edge courses. it is a great starter bike. if it is a new '02, that may be what it was used for , look it over close, as it isn't hard to change a speedo, and sell it as 'new'. if it was  a demo, see if you still get the same as new warrenty.MSRP, is 4695 for an 08. so you would be getting a fair deal. They usually sell for around 3-3500 used in illinois. I met up with some Japanese people touring route 66 , and one of them was riding cross country on a Blast. He said it was more what he was used to in  jJapan. I rode near him at 70 mph.I was really surprised .I think You'll be happy with it

If you like the feel of the bike, get it.  I put almost 10K miles on mine in about 2 years.  It was my first bike, and others who've answered are right, the Blast is well balanced and handles great.  Despite a small gas tank, the mileage you can get is great, especially at $4+/gal!  Have fun!

buell is an excellent starter bike,as i had 1,the bike has egnough power and excellent handling for its size,i would say u would be getting a great deal for $3000,new? it has never been owned by anyone?if its a a dealer i would be sure to ask why its never been sold,2002 is not old, but should have at least been sold before.i would be curious to see why they never sold it myself ,it could have possibly had some problems or may have just been saving it for some strange reason,at least take it for a good test ride to see if u like it .

2002 and it's new where are you live ? because I am thinking to get new bike too, sorry didn't answer your question.....
