  1. check your brake fluid and bleed your brake lines to get the air out

  2. break em in

    burnout

  3. you need to bleed them.

  4. did you bleed them?

  5. check the fluid and bleed...

  6. those brakes dont use a regular adjuster to adjust the brakes. take the wheel and drum back off and you will see a lever between the shoes on the top, you have to take a pocket screwdriver and pry the splines on the adjuster apart slowly and this will make the shoes go outward toward the drum, keep doing so until you have a little drag, if you dont do this the pedal will be very low forever until it gets done properly

  7. Check to see if you adjusted them up high enough. The drum should fit tightly over the shoes. You get your pedal high from the rear brakes. Make sure to clean the drum of contaminants and give the shoes a light sanding with some sand paper.

  8. Check the brake pads did you put them on correctly? If drum brakes the is a difference in the shoes, check that. If they are correct, bleed the brakes.

  9. adjustment?

    leaking cylinders?

i bet you introduced air in there....popped one of the pistons?

you shouldnt have to bleed the brakes if none of the brake lines were open. of if nothing was leaking....
